The old fashioned cocktail got its name old fashioned because it was served in old fashioned glassware. Here for this cocktail we use a concentrated bitters based on herbs and spices which is known as angostura bitters. It is typically used for flavouring beverages.
- 60 ml Rye Whiskey or Bourbon
- 2 ml Angostura Bitters
- 1 Sugar Cube
- 2 ml Plain Water
Take an old fashioned glassware, add sugar cube and saturate with angostura bitters , add plain water. Muddle until it is dissolved completely. Fill the glass with ice cubes and finally add rye whiskey or Bourbon and garnish with cocktail cherry or orange slice.
